Classes are well under way this fall at Town Hall in our Youth Theatre Program, the Actor’s Playground, but I thought I could give you some fun facts about who and how many we are reaching

  • Over the past year, some 1,340 persons attended 7 summer camp performances of The Little Mermaid.
  • Another 1,600 adults and children attended our holiday performances of A Participation Christmas Carol.
  • We also held multiple sessions of our Actors’ Playground — children’s theatre workshop classes for ages 6 – 15, (6 summer sessions, 5 fall sessions, 5 winter/spring sessions) that served 279 students.
  • Our outreach program, Arts on the Move, took 45 performances and workshops to schools, day care centers, and other venues, reaching over 2,770 participants who would not have experienced our children’s theatre activities otherwise.
  • This past summer we had 8 performances of Once on This Island, and were invited to participate in Western Welcome Week.
  • Fall of this year we have 4 different classes running with titles like, Campfire Stories, an original Acting Up! script that explores the facets of classic American Horror stories!

We love bringing theatre to a new generation, and encourage you to check out one of our children’s shows or enroll your children in one of our classes!
